Portable Update

Portable Update - We have received an update regarding the additional portable coming to our school for September. Great news is the current plans call for leaving our music room as a music room and the Kindergarten students will be staying in the main school building. The portable will be used for a regular classroom. We have been told that the portable will be placed on the north side of the school with work beginning in July. 

 

Highlands Spring Fair - THANK YOU!

Good times were had at the Spring Fair. We want to give a sincere thank you to our community sponsors and to all of the tireless parent and student volunteers (60+ in total!) who helped make this event so awesome. Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy and have fun with your community.

What was supposed to be a fun little Highlands event, ended up with record attendance and a whooping... $8,000 raised for our school!!

This was our first year trying funpass wristbands and we think it was a success - Everyone paid the same and all kids got to run around and do whatever they wanted. We'd love to hear if you have any *constructive* feedback to help organizers for next time.

It's been a blast throwing these events over the last two years and seeing all the happy kids & parents makes it all worth it. Except cutting up the 40 onions. That was maybe not totally worth it.

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Lunch

Each year, Highlands parents show thanks to our great teachers & staff with an Appreciation Lunch.  There is an online google docs sign-up sheet outlining two ways to help: 

1) Provide food for the event (food drop off between 8:20 - 9:00 am on THURSDAY,  June 15th in the staff room)

OR

2) Volunteer to help with clean-up
